So I’m getting ready to start the elimination diet next week. Have a mixture of emotions on this one! So, the foods I get to pull out of my diet for the next 3+ weeks include:
- Several Beans & Legumes
- Several Seeds
- Several Nuts
- Nightshades (includes things like eggplant, hot peppers, tomatoes and potatoes)
On the surface it doesn’t look like much is left available to eat! One individual told me it sounded like a fast when I started listing off what I can’t have. However; there are still more items on the list of foods I can eat than on the list of foods I shouldn’t 🙂
Hopefully, after 3-4 weeks of avoiding the foods above, I will be able to start slowly adding foods back in to my diet to determine if any of them cause a reaction or if I can keep them in my diet. I’m hoping for keeper’s on eggs and cheese definitely!!
